As of Sep 25th, 2025, all followup questions are handled by Ask Brave (see Announcement).
While we’ve designed Ask Brave to be private, we must process your request on our servers, which means that we may process information about you if you explicitly include it in a conversation. Our servers are hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States. In order to maintain the conversation state, it must be stored for the duration of the conversation, and will be automatically erased after 24 hours of inactivity. The conversation is encrypted, and the encryption key is stored locally on your device. Brave does not retain your IP address.
If you choose to share a conversation by making it publicly available, the conversation will be stored for a period of up to 7 days.
